A Perkasie-area tradition, Pennridge Community Day, continued in 2019. Penn Community Bank sponsored the fireworks display by donating $6,000 to the event that took place on July 7th in Perkasie’s Lenape Park.

The Intelligencer noted that Penn Community Bank executives joined Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County on June 29 to celebrate the dedication of a new home for a family in Morrisville Borough. Penn Community Bank served as a whole-house partner on the project, pledging $100,000 over a three-year period. This support helped finance the house’s construction.

Willig, Williams & Davidson announced that attorney Elizabeth I. Deegan recently ran a training program discussing the basic steps to divorce in Pennsylvania. The training session was presented for Philadelphia Legal Assistance, which provides free legal support to low-income individuals and families, and Jenkins Law Library.
The Legal Intelligencer announced that partner Lauren Hoye recently spoke at the 2019 biennial convention of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) Pennsylvania. Lauren discussed developments in the legal landscape in the year since the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in the Janus case that teacher and other public employee unions cannot collect fees from nonmembers.
