In her role as project manager, Karen organizes and disseminates all pertinent information to keep the Bucks County agency’s marketing and public relations projects running smoothly and on time. She is the point person to ensure that team members are aware of assignments and cognizant of clients’ needs, while maintaining schedules and deadlines.
Karen came to Furia Rubel with more than 20 years of experience. From production to project management, her communications industry roles all have served her passion for marketing and public relations. Her keen eye for detail, coupled with strategic solutions, has helped to produce award-winning work. With a roster of clients such as Citibank, U.S. Army, Colgate, Revlon, AmerisourceBergen, and Asplundh, Karen is skilled in both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) communications.
A graduate of James Madison University with a communications degree specializing in public relations, Karen began her career in magazine production working for Waste Age magazine, a trade publication dedicated to the refuse industry. Karen then obtained a Master of Science degree in Graphic Arts Publishing from Rochester Institute of Technology, where she learned graphic design, corporate communications, and printing management and sciences.
Desiring the frenetic energy of urban life, Karen followed her passion to the streets of Manhattan, working for advertising giants Young & Rubicam and Kirshenbaum, Bond & Partners. She then held project management and production roles in the entertainment industry including working as director of creative services for Oxygen and project and production manager for WE tv at AMC networks. When her hometown roots beckoned to her, she moved back to picturesque Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where she worked as a senior account executive for a boutique agency.
Karen’s background in print production, project management, and account management has given her the ability to see all aspects of a client’s needs, from strategy to fruition. She helps the Furia Rubel team deliver projects on schedule and within budget through strong communication and impeccable organization, and always with unparalleled customer service.
