DOYLESTOWN (December 2016) – Furia Rubel Communications, Inc. (www.furiarubel.com), an award-winning, integrated marketing and public relations agency, is pleased to announce that it has been honored with a Philadelphia PRSA Pepperpot Award for Reputation and Brand Management for its campaign to help create and communicate the new brand for Penn Community Bank, Bucks County’s leading independent, mutual financial organization.
“As a tide of bank mergers swept through Philadelphia, it was critical that the unification of two long-standing, independent local banks to form a new bank was communicated effectively in order to retain existing customers and acquire new ones,” said Gina F. Rubel, Esq., President and CEO of Furia Rubel. “I am extremely proud of the Furia Rubel team and the work they did to ensure that this would not be perceived as just another bank merger. It was different, and the internal and external communications, new bank name and rebranding had to reinforce that difference.”
Furia Rubel helped First Federal of Bucks County and First Savings Bank of Perkasie to develop and communicate their new brand as they unified to form Penn Community Bank. To position the new bank as the trusted, local, mutual financial organization in Bucks County, Furia Rubel conducted thorough research in order to develop and implement a strategy to emphasize community connections. The tactics included internal communications, community relations, media relations, branding and marketing. The multifaceted campaign resulted in 400% ROI and successful customer retention and acquisition for Penn Community Bank.
Jeane M. Coyle, CEO of Penn Community Bank said, “The Furia Rubel team did a fantastic job with our branding. They are a true partner and totally understand what Penn Community Bank is all about. They translated that into a powerful program that tells our story in so many different ways.”
The PRSA’s Pepperpot Awards serve to recognize outstanding campaigns and tactics from agencies in the Philadelphia region. A total of 114 entries across 30 categories were judged independently by PRSA Oklahoma City. The 2016 awards program was held at Water Works in Philadelphia on Dec. 6 and hosted by comedian and star of off-Broadway show, One Funny Mother, Deena Blizzard.
