Needles notes, that professional sentiment fell somewhere between “all publicity is good publicity” and “this too shall pass” when a law firm faces criticism over its clients. We saw a great deal of this type of criticism because of the 2020 elections and post-election lawsuits.
Gina Rubel, founder, and CEO of Furia Rubel Communications said, “Speaking as a lawyer and as a publicist, I don’t think [law firms] have anything to be ashamed of because their job is to litigate successfully for their client.”
However, Rubel did shared more in-depth thoughts with JD Supra about BigLaw firms that came under intense public scrutiny in the wake of the refusal of the Trump administration to acknowledge the results of the presidential election.
