Furia Rubel is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a “10 for 10″ Community Service Campaign through which we will participate in 10 activities throughout the year to embrace our corporate citizenship. Since it is our mission to give back when we can, we will be celebrating this milestone through both pro bono business relationships and service projects. Our 2012 pro bono marketing and/or public relations activities include work with the Kalmia Club of Lambertville, N.J., Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program (Philly VIP), and the Philadelphia Bar Foundation. We will also be hosting and participating in the following:
Doylestown Township Adopt-A-Road Program – 2011/2012
In 2011, Furia Rubel worked with Doylestown Township to successfully create an Adopt-A-Road program, similar to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Adopt-A-Highway program, where local businesses volunteer to clean up a one-mile stretch of Township-owned roadway. Volunteers agree to pick up trash and litter four times a year. Doylestown Patch was at the Township Board of Supervisors meeting in June 2011 covering the news.
Other partners participating in the Adopt-A-Road program include Bucks County Mediation and Arbitration Center (BCMAC), Bucks County Children’s Museum, Bucks County Conference and Visitors Bureau, Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, Central Bucks Rotary, Harmony Clean, Hepatitis B Foundation/Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center, Univest Bank, and the Women’s Business Forum of Bucks County. Furia Rubel began its service on November 26, 2011 with its first official clean up along Pine Run Road and Limekiln Road. The trash for the one-time clean up weighed in at 50 pounds and included more than 50 beverage containers, 15 cigarette boxes and 10 food wrappers.
Furia Rubel’s hope for this program is not only to give back to our precious environment, but to raise awareness about how others can keep our earth clean.

Offering of the Angels: Treasures from the Uffizi Museum Exhibition at The James A. Michener Art Museum – April 2012
Furia Rubel served as a “Sponsor Supporto” for the Offering of the Angels: Treasures from the Uffizi Gallery opening gala on April 20, 2012. Our founder, Gina Furia Rubel served as the Liaison to Italian and Italian-American Communities.
This traveling exhibition from the famed Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy, features 45 works including two large tapestries and 43 paintings by Renaissance artists from the 15th to 17th centuries. This exhibition, along with related programming, will be presented at The James A. Michener Art Museum from April 21, 2012 – August 10, 2012. Curated by the director of the Uffizi, Antonio Natali, the exhibition examines classical sacred art as the visual representation of the path to redemption and the life of Christ, and also presents the broad diversity and stylistic evolution of art from Northern Italy during the seminal Renaissance period. The exhibition includes works by Renaissance masters such as Botticelli, Tintoretto, Parmigianino, Lorenzo Monaco, Guercino, Cristofano and Alessandro Allori. A recently restored painting attributed to Titian has just been added to the exhibition, and will be on public display for the first time in recent history. This tour is the only time these masterworks will be seen in the United States, and the Michener Art Museum is the only venue to host this exhibition in the Northeast region.
