Furia Rubel Communications, Inc. (www.furiarubel.com), an award-winning, integrated marketing and public relations agency, has been recognized by the Public Relations Society of America’s Philadelphia chapter for its work on behalf of clients in the community relations and website categories.
Furia Rubel was recognized for launching a new website for intellectual property law firm Panitch Schwarze. The new website projects a clearly defined brand message, with architecture and content best practices that have greatly improved search engine results, attracted new clients, and enhanced the visitor’s experience.
Furia Rubel also was recognized for helping Tinicum Township successfully communicate to its residents the details of a proposed agreement with the Philadelphia International Airport. The campaign yielded nearly 60 broadcast and print placements that reached an audience of roughly 4.3 million, generating nearly 11 million media impressions. The broadcast pieces alone ran more than 30 times on all major affiliates, including ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, KYW and NPR.
“I am extremely proud of the Furia Rubel team and the dedication they show on a daily basis to each of our clients,” said Gina F. Rubel, Esq., President and CEO of Furia Rubel. “Partnering with top-flight clients who collaborate with us to produce top-flight campaigns is the foundation of our success.”
The PRSA’s Pepperpot Awards serve to recognize outstanding campaigns and tactics from agencies in the Philadelphia region. Chapter president Linda Woody said the 2014 contest drew the highest number of entries to date.
The awards are named after Pepper Pot soup, which legend says was created by George Washington’s chef at Valley Forge during the Revolutionary War when he concocted a thick soup made of beef tripe, peppercorns and leftover scraps. Bill Parker, then-president of the PRSA Philly chapter and the leader of Campbell Soup communications, suggested the name in 1968, and the chapter has bestowed Pepperpots and Ladles on PR professionals for decades since.
The awards program was held at Tendenza in Philadelphia on Dec. 2 and hosted by radio personality, Marilyn Russell, of 95.7 Ben FM.
