Furia Rubel Communications, a Philadelphia-area strategic public relations agency, was recently recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal as one of the area’s top 25 public relations firms in the Philadelphia region. The strategic public relations agency was also a 2009 Corporate Philanthropy award recipient.
The Philadelphia Business Journal, a weekly newspaper covering breaking business news in the Greater Philadelphia region, compiles a Book of Lists, which provides listings of hundreds of the most cutting edge area companies in their fields by ranking. On a weekly basis, companies in different industries are ranked based on specific criteria including revenue, number of local employees, and other factors which vary by industry.
“Being named to the Book of Lists as one of the top PR firms in the Philadelphia region after only seven years is a huge accomplishment,” said Furia Rubel President and CEO, Gina Furia Rubel.
Furia Rubel was also a Small Business Community Impact Award and Volunteer Donor Award Finalist for the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Corporate Philanthropy Summit. The Community Impact Award represents the top donors in combined local gifts of cash, in-kind and volunteer hours in 2007. The Volunteer Donor Award highlights the top donors of volunteer time per employee in 2007. Overall, the Furia Rubel team was featured as one of the top 100 corporate charitable contributors in the Philadelphia region.
“I believe much of our growth stems from our philosophy and commitment to giving back which is evident in the corporate philanthropy honors we received,” said Rubel. “Our agency truly gives back. We are privileged to represent several non-profits on a pro bono basis including Philadelphia VIP, Bucks County Women’s Fund, Deep Run Mennonite Church East, Elephant’s Eye Bucks County Artists Studio Tour and the Women’s Resource Center.”
