Maria Aronson brings nearly 15 years of experience to Furia Rubel’s clients as an account manager. She has led high-impact communications for AmLaw 100 and 200 firms including Reed Smith, Wiley Rein, Hogan Lovells, Day Pitney and Paul Hastings. As a former journalist, Maria’s newsroom instincts and deep understanding of brand storytelling influence her strategic insights in corporate communications, public relations, and crisis management.

As one who has directed communications strategies for firms with thousands of attorneys across major practice areas and industries, Maria proactively elevates the visibility of brands through strategic media training and media relations programs. Her ability to translate complex legal services into clear, compelling narratives has resulted in top-tier media coverage, building influential partnerships, and designing integrated communications strategies that drive client business growth. Maria’s foundation working as a reporter for top business and finance media outlets such as The Deal and TheStreet.com give her storytelling credibility and a unique edge. She has many years of experience also producing and appearing in podcasts and on television, including interviewing executives on the floors of the Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange.

Working side-by-side with attorneys and senior management, Maria has directed and implemented all forms of media relations, reputation management and incident response including press conferences and roundtables, executive communications and speeches, client-focused content plans, communications and marketing processes for lateral integration, and marketing strategies for growth and change management. Having authored crisis communications playbooks and guided firms through reputational challenges, she helps ensure consistent, confident communication during investigations, litigation, and leadership transitions for both law firms and their clients. She has also implemented strategies to improve awards and directories results, including participation in Chambers, Legal 500, Financial Times Innovative Lawyers, Law360 and American Lawyer awards.

Maria holds a Master of Arts and Letters from Drew University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Boston University.  After working in New York City and Washington D.C., Maria moved to Delaware with her family, where she enjoys running, swimming and playing on the beach with her children.
