Selden Hernandez is an Account Manager at Furia Rubel, where she helps law firms strengthen their visibility, refine their messaging, and turn legal insight into thought leadership that supports business development. Drawing on extensive experience in legal communications and strategic content development, she helps attorneys translate complex legal issues into clear, compelling insights that resonate with clients, media, and the broader marketplace.

At Furia Rubel, Selden works closely with clients to implement communications strategies that strengthen reputation, support practice growth, and position attorneys as trusted authorities in their fields. Her work spans media relations, thought leadership development, content strategy, and digital communications. Known for her collaborative approach and strong editorial instincts, she works closely with lawyers to shape ideas, refine messaging, and deliver timely commentary on emerging legal and industry developments. This strategic approach helps clients elevate their profiles, engage key audiences, and demonstrate the value behind their work before the question is even asked.

Before joining Furia Rubel, Selden served as Senior Communications and PR Manager at McGlinchey Stafford, where she helped lead firmwide communications and public relations initiatives across multiple practice groups. She worked directly with attorneys to develop thought leadership, manage media engagement, and strengthen the firm’s digital and editorial presence.

Earlier, Selden was Director of Marketing and Business Development at Green Light Law Group, where she led marketing and communications strategy during a period of firm expansion. In that role, she helped secure national media coverage, including in The New York Times, while supporting the launch of the firm’s New York office.

Selden also spent a decade at Forbes Media, where she served as Executive Director of Forbes Custom. She led global teams developing integrated thought leadership and branded content programs for corporate, nonprofit, and government organizations. That experience strengthened her expertise in multi-platform content strategy and her ability to translate complex issues into compelling narratives. She now applies those skills to helping law firms elevate their voice, engage the media, and strengthen their market presence.

She earned her B.S. in Communications, with a focus on Radio, Television, and Film, from Northwestern University. Originally from Chevy Chase, Maryland, Selden made her way to Portland, Oregon, by way of Chicago, San Francisco, and New York, where she developed a lasting appreciation for great cities, memorable meals, and good stories.
