Living the Four Agreements in Life and in Business
Gina Rubel presented at “Full Day in the Bay: Empowered Women, Empower Women & Men in Business” on building confidence through living the four agreements in life and business.
Have you been told “You can’t”, “You shouldn’t”, “That’s a bad idea”?
Everything we do and become in life is about being confident. Every day it takes confidence to face life and take care of yourself. Confidence makes us remarkable and successful in life.
To become more confident, Gina recommends the book, “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz. The Four Agreements advocate personal freedom from beliefs that we have made with ourselves and others that create limitations in our lives. They help us to build true and authentic confidence.
An agreement is “A belief we create for ourselves or one that we accept for ourselves because of someone else’s opinion.” Example of agreements include, “I’m too fat,” “They don’t like me,” and “I can’t sing.”
The four agreements are:
- Be impeccable with your word.
- Don’t take anything personally.
- Don’t make assumptions.
- Always do your best.
