Delaware Counsel Group
Corporate Law Firm Marketing and Public Relations Management
The Delaware Counsel Group LLP hired Furia Rubel to serve their
marketing needs. Their objectives included positioning the corporate law firm and lawyers as a leader in the marketplace capable of serving as a credible option for Delaware counsel advice; establishing its position as experts in providing personalized service in national and international business transactions; raising awareness and producing name recognition; enhancing and demonstrating the excellent reputations of the firm’s partners; and generating regular and ongoing publicity.
Furia Rubel executed a communications assessment that evaluated the law firm’s then current and previous communications efforts, their objectives, target audiences and strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) at they related to their marketing and public relations efforts. Furia Rubel then developed a strategic plan for supporting growth of the company’s client base focused on the two-year-old firm’s extensive knowledge of Delaware corporate and commercial law, its relationships with the American Bar Association, National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT), National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF), and other trade associations, its knowledge of alternative business entities, and its ability to recognize and create opportunities for clients. The Delaware Counsel Group, the only law firm certified by the NAMWOLF in Delaware, was also known for being generous with non-billable time and professional courtesy questions.
Furia Rubel’s plan included: securing speaking engagements and preparing the firm’s partners; planning client visits; providing sponsorships; indentifying and taking advantage of publishing opportunities; promoting attendance at industry conferences and association memberships; a complete redesign and re-launch of the firm’s website (with the support of Ampersand Design) and strategic public relations programming.
Furia Rubel secured feature stories in Delaware Today (cover story), the Philadelphia Bar Reporter, The NAMWOLF Newsletter, Delaware Law Weekly, The Legal Intelligencer, Widener Law Newsletters, the Philadelphia Business Journal, and The National Law Journal. Furia Rubel also assisted in their application process for NAMWOLF certification, opening the door for new professional opportunities.
According to Heather Jefferson, Esq., Partner at The Delaware Counsel Group, “Furia Rubel has great public relations contacts, lots of energy and they spot opportunities. Our firm is getting in the press, we’re getting media attention and we have a strategic partner to rely on for help. Our overall experience has been excellent.”
