Jennifer Batchelor, Esq. - Writer / Editor  After a three-year stint as a legal journalist, Jennifer joined Furia Rubel as a legal copywriter. As an attorney who wrote more than 600 articles for The Legal Intelligencer, Delaware Law Weekly and American Lawyer Media's (ALM) website: Law.com. Jennifer understands the importance of effective law firm and corporate communications and is adept at creating them.
As an ALM staff reporter, Jennifer covered topics ranging from legal trends, attorneys' lateral moves, and associate raises and bonuses, to technology for law firms and court matters of local and national import. Jennifer also assisted with the compilation and production of PaLaw, ALM's annual report on the legal profession in Pennsylvania. She launched her own freelance copywriting firm in May 2005 and has served as a member of the Furia Rubel team ever since.
Jennifer has also served as an editor and researcher for Villanova University School of Law professors and has prepared continuing legal education materials for a forensic psychologist. Prior to attending Villanova Law, Jennifer was as a law clerk for the Reading, Pa., firm of Forry Ullman Attorneys at Law where she summarized depositions, prepared memoranda and assisted with cross-examination preparations.
Jennifer graduated summa cum laude from Lafayette College with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in English. A Phi Beta Kappa Eugene P. Chase Prize recipient, she also served as a writing tutor for freshmen students. Jennifer earned her juris doctor from Villanova Law in 2002.
When she is not working, Jennifer can be found horsing around at Wyndsor Farm in Elverson, Pa., or participating in horse jumping competitions up and down the East Coast. |
